DIRECTOR & PRINCIPAL LAWYER
Kerry completed her Law Degree with Honours at the University of Adelaide in 1997, and was subsequently admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia.
Following her admission, Kerry worked as a District Court Legal Associate and then as a Family Court Legal Associate before entering private practice as solicitor working exclusively in the area of family law.
Kerry is also an Associate Teacher in the Law School at the University of Adelaide where she has been teaching family law since 2002. She is also the Course Supervisor for the Family Law Course offered in the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) which is run by the Law Society of South Australia and the University of Adelaide. She has been involved with the GDLP programme since 2002.
On 23 May 2016 Kerry was also awarded a Faculty of Professions (School of Law) Executive Dean’s Award for excellence in teaching 2016.
Kerry has been actively involved as a member of the Advisory Panel of the World Congress on Family Law and Children’s Rights Inc. between 2003 and 2005. She was also a member of the Family Law Committee, The Law Society of South Australia between 2008 and 2012.
Kerry has a particular interest in complex children’s issues and, in 2009, undertook training as an Independent Children’s Lawyer.
Kerry is a member of The Law Society of South Australia, the Australian Family Law Council (Family Division), Women’s Lawyers Association of SA Inc. and the University of Adelaide Alumni Association.
